DETAILS ABOUT THE INTERNSHIP PROGRAMME:

Locations: Pretoria, Gauteng
Unit: Time Square
Positions available: IT Internship: 2, Slots Technical Internship: 1

Sun Time Square Casino & Entertainment World are inviting candidates to join their 2 Internship programmes:
- IT Internship is for students currently studying IT Engineering, and will allow students to gain the practical experience within their field.
- Slots Technical Internship is for students currently studying Electrical Engineering, and will allow students to gain the practical experience within their field.
 

Key Performance Areas of the programme:
IT Internship:

  • Delivering standards in line with Service Level agreement(s) and procedures
  • Delivering agreed service levels to users
  • Resolving user problems
  • Performing job functions in line with rules and regulations of Sun International, Sun IT and the business unit
  • Ensuring new installations/ system changes are conducted according to approved standards and configurations

Slots Technical Internship:

  • Maintainance of Gaming Products (including cleaning, servicing, replacing and testing minor components of EGMS, Gaming Kiosks, Displays, card reader, keypads, IView screen, note acceptor, EGM bases, Gaming Table Equipment, Signage, cashiering equipment, marketing and promotional equipment)
  • Keeping record of job cards
  • Moving and placing EGMs
  • Cleaning move location
  • Ensuring RGP information is visible
  • Maintaining a safe and tidy workshop
  • Ensuring that equipment remains clean and secure
  • Providing accurate guest information (including promotional details)
  • Welcoming guests with a friendly smile, a friendly goodbye and always treating them with respect
  • Interacting with guests to assist with queries

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS NEEDED TO APPLY:

Before applying, please ensure that you meet ALL of the following minimum entry criteria – failure to satisfy all the requirements will result in your application being disqualified:
Sun International: IT Internship

  • Education required: must have completed Matric (NSC)
  • Education required: must be studying towards/ have completed a Degree or Diploma in Engineering / Information Systems / Computer Science / any Science
  • Must be in need of an internship to complete your qualification (per your institution's requirement)
  • Must hold a gaming license

Sun International: Slots Technical Internship

  • Must be a South African citizen with a valid ID
  • Education required: must be studying towards an Electric/ Electronic (light current) N3 qualification
  • Must be in need of an internship to complete your qualification (per your institution's requirement)
  • Must be able to communicate in English (written and spoken)
  • Must be able to speak Afrikaans (advantageous)
  • Must be able to work shifts (per the companies operational requirements)
  • Must be willing to work in a smoking environment
  • Must have strong interpersonal skills
  • Must be driven and ethical
  • Must be computer literate
  • Must have strong analytical skills
  • Must have strong problem solving skills
  • Must be able to follow instructions
  • Must be able to deal with customers in a professional manner
  • Must be able to collect information effectively (including listening and asking questions)
  • Must be emotionally resilient
  • Must have knowledge of gaming components, as well as servicing and repairs
  • Must have knowledge of system auditing and investigations
