ABOUT THE COMPANY PROVIDING THE INTERNSHIP:

DETAILS ABOUT THE INTERNSHIP PROGRAMME:

Location: Cape Town, Western Cape
Duration: 12 months
Contract Type: Temporary
 

Novus Print: Montague Gardens is offering an IT internship position within their IT department. The ideal candidate must be studying towards an IT qualification and require in-service training / work exposure to complete their qualification.

The intern will be responsible for assisting the IT team with daily duties of the department, including:

  • Assisting the IT team with full IT and end user function tasks
  • Providing first and second level IT support to end users
  • Assisting with IT and end user related queries
  • Assisting with end user requirements and resources
  • Assisting with technical problems relating to computer hardware and software, desktop and server
  • Assisting with routine planned maintenance of networks and systems
  • Assisting with administrative duties and ensuring effective administration processes are followed
  • Suggesting upgrades, implementation and integration solutions
  • Delivering on deadlines
  • Ensuing minimal downtime, customer satisfaction, efficient resolution of calls logged to the IT help-desk function

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS NEEDED TO APPLY:

  • Must have completed Matric (NSC)
  • Must be studying towards an Information Technology qualification
  • Must have basic knowledge of IT practices
  • Must have basic knowledge of Microsoft Operating Systems
  • Must be able to work under pressure
  • Must have good communication skills
  • Must have good interpersonal skills
  • Must good problem-solving skills
  • Must work to a high level of accuracy
  • Must be meticulous and methodical
  • Must be proactive
  • Must be customer service orientated
