ABOUT THE COMPANY PROVIDING THE INTERNSHIP:
The Office of the Pension Funds Adjudicator (OPFA) is a legal entity established in accordance with the terms of the Pension Funds Act, 24 of 1956. The aim of the company and the Act is to eliminate pension fund complaints that have been lodged in a manner that's economical, fair, and expeditious.
DETAILS ABOUT THE INTERNSHIP PROGRAMME:
Location: Ashlea Gardens, Pretoria, Gauteng
Position: Information Technology And Communication (ICT) Internship
Number of positions available: 2
Salary: Market related
OPFA is offering 2 ICT Internship positions to graduates with a Information Technology/ Information Systems/ Computer Science qualification.
Key Performance Areas of the Programme:
- Providing support to ICT systems
- Management of ICT projects
- Updating of: ICT risk register, ICT procedures and manuals, ICT asset register, warranties, contracts, etc
- Troubleshooting computer hardware and software issues
- Management of ICT change and release management processes
- Corresponding with service providers
- Leading and partaking in ICT meetings
- Acquiring information to assist with IT audits
- Compiling monthly reports (ICT operations, budgets, payments)
- Ensuing the ICT documents are in order and up to date (electronic and paper versions)
- Receiving, documenting and classifying ICT incidents
- Solving ICT incidents timeously
- Opening, documenting and reolving ICT requests
- Solving ICT requests timeously and closing it within the ticketing system
- Related duties as requested by the Supervisor
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS NEEDED TO APPLY:
Before applying, please ensure that you meet ALL of the following minimum entry criteria – failure to satisfy all the requirements will result in your application being disqualified:
- Must have completed a NQF7 qualification in any of these fields: Information Technology/ Information Systems/ Computer Science
- Must be computer literate and be proficient in Microsoft (Word, Excel and Outlook)
- Must have excellent communication skills (oral and written)
- Must have excellent listening skills
- Must have good writing skills and be able to explain complex concepts
- Must have knowledge of ICT terms
- Must have strong analysis, interpretation and problem-solving skills
- Must be resilient
