ABOUT THE COMPANY PROVIDING THE INTERNSHIP:
South African National Parks is one of the worlds top scientific research and conservation bodies. They lead and manage many of the country's parks, responsible for the preservation of flora and fauna landscapes that are vital to our heritage.
South African National Parks offer a number of activities such as swimming, sightseeing, canoeing, game viewing, 4x4 trails, golf, accommodation tariffs, hiking, mountain biking, bird-watching, self-drive safaris, guided walks, cultural and historical experiences, and so much more.
DETAILS ABOUT THE INTERNSHIP PROGRAMME:
Location: Table Mountain, West Coast National Park, Bellville Office, Cape Town, Western Cape
Pay/ Stipend: R5 000 per month
Contract period: 1 year
South African National Parks is offering internship opportunities at their Table Mountain National Park, to graduates who have completed a Diploma or Bachelors Degree (NQF6/NQF7) qualification. During the 1 year programme, the candidate will be receive a monthly stipend.

Qualification required: Supply Chain Management/ Financial Management/ Public Management: Diploma or B Degree

2) Department: Tourism
Qualification required: Tourism / Hospitality: Diploma or B Degree
Number of positions available: 1
Park/ Work Station: West Coast National Park
Accommodation: Yes
3) Department: Technical
Qualification required: Quantity Surveying: Diploma or B Degree
Number of positions available: 1
Park/ Work Station: Bellville Office
Accommodation: Yes
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS NEEDED TO APPLY:
Before applying, please ensure that you meet ALL of the following minimum entry criteria – failure to satisfy all the requirements will result in your application being disqualified:
- Must be a South African Citizen
- Must have completed Matric (NSC)
- Must have completed any of these qualifications:
- Diploma or Bachelors Degree in Supply Chain Management/ Financial Management/ Public Management
- Diploma or Bachelors Degree in Tourism / Hospitality
- Diploma or Bachelors Degree in Quantity Surveying
- Must be 18 to 35 years old
- Must have obtained your qualification from a recognised South African Public Higher Education Institution (HEI)
- Must be willing to work in the South African National Parks for the full duration of the internship
- Must NOT be currently/ previously employed
- Must NOT have participated in a placement/ internship programme
- Must be willing to pay for your own accommodation and transportation (if applying from outside of the area)
- Must be available for necessary assessment and selection interviews (the time, date, and location will be determined by South African National Parks)
