Fasken is offering a graduate programme for the position of Graduate Attorney. The programme is aimed at university graduates in the process of undertaking their articles, in order to practice as an attorney.

Key Performance Areas of the Programme:

Developing a client base within and outside of the firm
Ensuring that the firm's standards of excellence are maintained
Engaging in team projects for the purpose of gaining new skills
Engaging and joining voluntary committees and elements within the civil society
Reporting to the Director and team of professionals
Providing assistance and support to the firm's lawyers with legal practice aspects
Providing assistance with trial and hearing matters
Ensuring legal opinions are researched and prepared
Attending client consultations with experts and witnesses
Attending trial proceedings and pre-trial conferences
Communicating with experts, counsel, client, and opponents
Ensuring the daily management of filed under lawyers supervision is completed
Ensuring legal documents and agreement letters are drafted
Ensuring daily legal practices are conducted

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS NEEDED TO APPLY:

Must have completed a LLB degree qualification
Must have above average grades
Must have excellent problem solving and analysing skills
Must have excellent communication skills

Must be enthusiastic
Must be willing to learn and grow
