ABOUT THE COMPANY PROVIDING THE INTERNSHIP PROGRAMME:
Dr Beyers Naudé Local Municipality was established by merging Ikwezi, Baviaans, and Camdeboo local municipalities in the Eastern Cape. The relatively new municipality gained its name from the Afrikaner cleric and anti-apartheid activist Beyers Naudé.
DETAILS ABOUT THE INTERNSHIP PROGRAMME:
Location: Graaff-Reinet, Eastern Cape
Pay/ Stipend: R96 000 per annum (all-inclusive)

Contract duration: 2 years
Dr Beyeres Naude Local Municipality is offering an internship programme for the position of financial intern. The aim of the programme is to equip the candidate with structured professional training and workplace experience, providing them with first-class training and practical exposure in many aspects of a Municipal Budget and Treasury Office.
The training sequence of the programme builds on many competencies and skills the candidate has gained during Tertiary training. Upon completion of the programme, the candidate will gain the necessary credits/ qualification in Municipal Finance Management
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS NEEDED TO APPLY:
Before applying, please ensure that you meet ALL of the following minimum entry criteria – failure to satisfy all the requirements will result in your application being disqualified:
- Must have completed a 3 year National Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree majoring in Accounting, Economics or Finance including (this must include Risk Management and/or Auditing)
- Must have excellent communication skills (oral and written)
- Must be computer literate with knowledge of Microsoft Offices
- Must be 21 to 35 years old

- The candidate will be required to sign an internship agreement in addition to the employment contract- this agreement will ensure the candidate's commitment to the programme ensuring full participation in the educational and workplace assignments as well as the observance of policies and procedures
