Location: Johannesburg, Gauteng

Telesure Investment Holdings (TIH) is offering a training programme for the role of Trainee Developer within their Admin and Office Support environments.
The main job functions will be administration whereby the candidate will actively contribute to the company's organizational goals. The candidate will successfully complete this by ensuring quality software systems are maintained.

Key Performance Areas of the Programme:

Gaining an understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle and how it is used in Telesure
Taking responsibility for the testing, execution, and documentation of small software deliverables
Ensuring that software is delivered at a high quality and in accordance with the standards and requirements of the department
Ensuring that all ad-hoc duties are completed on time and efficiently
Clarifying and analysing pre-defined software technical designs/requirements for the purpose of gaining an understanding of the business need
Providing accurate solutions based on the business need that has been developed using the architecture framework
Taking full accountability for development
Attending training and interventions
Ensuring that process changes and training initiatives are applied
Ensuring that you take career development and performance management seriously with the aim to seek new ways to improve results
Setting your own personal goals and working hard to achieve them
Consistently improving within your department
Ensuring that all personal deliveries, as well as business objectives, is in accordance with the principles of TSW
Ensuring that mutually beneficial internal relationships are built and maintained
Ensuring that the company is improving efficiencies by constantly reviewing the processes with the protocols, systems, and within the departments by grasping information from the company's partners
Ensuring business continuity by analysing and finding solutions to performance inhibitors

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS NEEDED TO APPLY:

Before applying, please ensure that you meet ALL of the following minimum entry criteria – failure to satisfy all the requirements will result in your application being disqualified:

Must have completed Matric (NSC) with University Entrance (NQF4)
Must have a Certificate/ Diploma/ Degree in Software Development (advantageous but not essential)
Must have knowledge of the Software Development Lifecycle (advantageous)
Must have knowledge of System Design frameworks and principles (advantageous)
Must have Development skills in Microftt.net, IBM iSeries, and other preferred technologies and frameworks (advantageous)
Must have previous experience within the financial service environment
Must have excellent communication skills (oral and written)
Must have analytical skills
Must have strong logical and reasoning skills
Must be flexible and adaptable
