The City of Johannesburg's Group Finance: Revenue Shared Services Department is offering an internship opportunity to the youth. The aim of this programme is to meet the demands of tertiary institutions whereby candidates require on-the-job training to acquire their academic qualification/ experiential training.
The primary role of the candidate will be to provide superior customer care using various forms of media (written correspondence, telephone calls, e-services, and visiting the customers if required.) The candidate will also be required to resolve the majority of customers' queries by using their own initiative within their contact with the customers in the Interface Environment. Lastly, the candidate will ensure that they meet and exceed the targets of the R&CRM Department.
Key Performance Areas of the Programme:
- Ensuring that customer information and service requests are handled within the customer interface
- Ensuring that you use all necessary resources to resolve customer queries on the first contact
- Ensuring that all customer requests are processed and received into the CRM system in relation to the R&CRM standards
- Ensuring all queries are logged onto the CRM
- Ensuring that work statuses are monitored on all opened calls
- Ensuring that reconnection for municipal-owned entities are processed
- Ensuring that all queries that were unresolved at first contact are channelled to the right department/s for the purpose of intervention
- Ensuring that credit control procedures are implemented such as opening and closing accounts as per the policies and procedures of the City of Johannesburg and making necessary debt arrangements with customers
- Ensuring that social package processes, systems, and, methods are implemented
- Ensuring that office administration duties are performed
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS NEEDED TO APPLY:

- Must have completed a National Diploma or Degree qualification in a relevant field
- Must be 18 to 35 years-old
- Must be a resident of the city of Johannesburg
- Must have knowledge of local government (advantageous)
- Must be computer literate with knowledge of Microsoft Offices

- Must be willing to work overtime (when requested)
