DETAILS ABOUT THE INTERNSHIP PROGRAMME:

Location: South Eastern Suburbs, Cape Town, Western Cape

Pam Golding is offering an internship opportunity for the role of Estate Agent Intern in their Operations department. The programme is available at the Southern East Suburbs of Cape Town. The purpose of the role is to equip the candidate with the necessary skills to be successful in marketing and selling property as well as providing excellent customer service and upholding the Pam Golding brand.

Key performance areas of the programme:

Ensuring that information about properties (such as lead generation) is collected
Ensuring that properties are canvassed to sell
Ensuring that home staging and photography is arranged
Visiting sellers and talking confidently about the property and area
Ensuring that valuation on the properties are made (i.e. using sound principles to estimate the properties values)
Ensuring that you attend and organise show days
Compiling marketing plans for the properties
Ensuring that you represent the seller during negotiations with buyers
Monitoring sales
Liaisoning with stakeholders, such as conveyancers, mortgage brokers, as well as other estate agents
Advising buyers and sellers in a knowledgeable way
Staying up to date with the latest trends in the residential property and general market

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS NEEDED TO APPLY:

Before applying, please ensure that you meet ALL of the following minimum entry criteria – failure to satisfy all the requirements will result in your application being disqualified:

Must be a South African Citizen
Must have a Real Estate qualification (see below)
Must have proven, past experience in the Sales environment
Must have a drivers licence
Must have own reliable transport
Must have your own Laptop or tablet
Must reside within the Eastern Suburbs of Cape Town
Must have excellent communication skills (oral and written)
Must have knowledge of technology (digitally savvy) and able to do business on your mobile device(s)
Must be computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft suite
Must be determined and persistent
Must be curious
Must have high attention to detail
Must be sociable and outgoing
Must be able to sustain yourself (financially) for 6 to 8 months
Must have a passion for sales
Must have excellent negotiation abilities
Must be optimistic and confident
Must be adaptable
Must be resilient and able to work under pressure

Steps to obtain a Real Estate Qualification:
1. Register with the Estate Agency Affairs Board (EAAB)
2. Acquire an Intern Agent Fidelity Fund Certificate (FFC)
3. Complete an accredited NQF4 qualification
4. Compile a logbook
5. Write a PDE exam
