ABOUT THE COMPANY PROVIDING THE LEARNERSHIP:
Iemas Financial Services is an authorized financial services provider, offering competitive and affordable solutions such as vehicle finance; short-term insurance; life insurance; secured loans and unsecured loans.
Iemas have been offering learnerships since 2002 to help students obtain a formal national qualification, while gaining hands on working experience.
ABOUT THE LEARNERSHIP
Location: Centurion, Gauteng
Contract duration: 12 months
EE Status: must be an EE candidate
Disability: must have a disability
Start date: June 2021
IEMAS are inviting students with a Matric, to join the 12-month Leanership programme. Students must be interested in acquiring a qualification in Debt Recovery and gaining practical working experience in the field.
Candidates will undertake all learning and tasks provided in order to obtain the stipulated NQF qualification. They will also learn from every activity and gain invaluable working experience.
The learnership programme will expose candidates to the following (and more):
- Handling queries from debt collectors and members
- Handling legal collections queries and following up of legal processes
- Assisting with payment processing to attorneys and debt collectors
- Assisting with handover of legal cases to debt collectors and attorneys
- Assisting with management of portfolios for attorneys and for debt collectors
- Monitoring judgement progress
- Maintaining relationships (internal and external)
- Reporting on portfolios
- Solving practical problems and dealing with members
- Ensuring member details and collection activities are noted on the IT system
- Attending to regular correspondence about collections or recovery issues
- Administering repossession of vehicles and demands
- Obtaining promise to pays from members in arrears
- Dealing with valuators, tracers, sheriffs and lien holders

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS NEEDED TO APPLY:
Before applying, please ensure that you meet ALL of the following minimum entry criteria – failure to satisfy all the requirements will result in your application being disqualified:
- Must be a South African citizen
- Must have completed Matric
- Must have passed Accounting and/ or Mathematics (standard grade) in Matric
- Must NOT be currently studying or planning to study this year
- Must be unemployed
- Must be a previously disadvantaged youth
- Must have a disability
