ABOUT THE COMPANY PROVIDING THE LEARNERSHIP:

UD Trucks Corporation is a Japanese company with a core business in the manufacturing and sales of bus chassis, diesel trucks, buses, as well as special- purpose vehicles. UD Trucks headquarters are located in Ageo, Saitama, Japan with the company being a subsidiary wholly owned by Isuzu.
UD Trucks South Africa (Pty) Ltd established offices within Southern Africa, which is the company's largest market outside of their home base in Japan. UD Trucks Southern Africa (Pty) Ltd has about 3000 units in truck delivery for medium, heavy, and light-duty trucks. UD Trucks has established a brand within Southern Africa by introducing its heavy-duty truck model with over 400PS in 2002- the company later launch “Quon” in 2012.

DETAILS ABOUT THE LEARNERSHIP PROGRAMME:

Location: Pretoria, Gauteng
Number of positions available: 9

UD Trucks is offering a Production Technology NQF-2 learnership. The programme is open to unemployed candidates who wish to be part of the UD Trucks programme in Production Technology.

The working hours for the learnership are: Monday to Thursday, from 7am to 4pm and Friday, from 7am to 1pm.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS NEEDED TO APPLY:

Before applying, please ensure that you meet ALL of the following minimum entry criteria – failure to satisfy all the requirements will result in your application being disqualified:

Must have completed Matric (NSC) with Mathematics as a subject
and/ or
Must have completed a Auto Motor Learnership or a National Diploma in one of these fields: Production Management, Logistics/ Material Handling or Engineering
Must be unemployed
Must be a resident of Rosslyn, Pretoria/ Soshunguve/ surrounding areas
Must be able to fully embrace UD Trucks' organisation culture
Must be diligent and hard-working
Must be willing and prepared to learn multiple positions within the Organisation
Must understand the full value chain of UD Trucks Southern Africa (Pty) Ltd production line
