DETAILS ABOUT THE INTERNSHIP PROGRAMMES:
Location: Mthatha Plaza, Mthatha, Eastern Cape
Duration: 12 months
The Foschini Group is offering Youth Employment Service (YES) learnership programmes for students who have Matriculated, at various these stores. The programme is part of the public-private initiative led by the Presidency to decrease the number of unemployed youth in South Africa. This programme is open to young South Africans eager to enter the job market and gain work experience within the retail sector. The chosen candidate will work with Foshini's retail brands as well as be exposed to a number of retail activities within the store.
Key performance areas of the programme:
- Ensuring that you are an ambassador for TFG brands
- Offering exceptional retail experiences to customers
- Exceeding all the expectations of customers by ensuring that they get first-class service
- Ensuring that you develop and maintain a key understanding of the diverse product range
- Keeping up to date with the latest fashion and design trends
- Grasping opportunities to make new sales
- Ensuring that sales targets are achieved
- Maintaining a track record of sales performance against target
- Providing assistance with general housekeeping
- Ensuring that stock is replenished and constantly ready for customers
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS NEEDED TO APPLY:
Before applying, please ensure that you meet ALL of the following minimum entry criteria – failure to satisfy all the requirements will result in your application being disqualified:
- Must have completed Matric (preferable)
- Must be between 18 and 29 years old
- Must be available to complete the full duration of the programme
- Must be unemployed
- Must not be studying on a full-time basis from the year of employment
- Must not have participated/ registered in a previous YES program me
- Must be able to cover your own transportation/ accommodation costs (if necessary)
- Must have high energy
- Must have a positive attitude
- Must be willing to learn and receive feedback
- Must be willing to contribute to the success of the store by participating in store retail activities
