ABOUT THE COMPANY PROVIDING THE LEARNERSHIP:
The KwaZulu-Natal Department of transport was first established in 1994 with the aim of providing mobility for citizens by establishing road and bridges, managing all infrastructure of the road (thus supporting the growth of the province), promoting a transport system that is integrated and accessible, as well as promoting the safety of being on the road by the means of Enforcement, Education, Evaluation, and Engineering.
DETAILS ABOUT THE LEARNERSHIP PROGRAMME:
Location: KwaZulu-Natal
Duration: 18 months
Stipend: R4850 per month
The KwaZulu-Natal Department of Traffic is offering a number of Work Integrated Learning (WIL) programmes to candidates living with disabilities. These programmes are aimed at candidates who require 18 months of work experiential learning. The programmes will run from 1 April 2022 to 31 October 2023.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS NEEDED TO APPLY:
Before applying, please ensure that you meet ALL of the following minimum entry criteria – failure to satisfy all the requirements will result in your application being disqualified:
General Requirements:
- Must have completed Matric (NSC)
- Must be computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Must be an individual living with disabilities
- Must be a member from a previously disadvantaged background
- Must be unemployed
- Must NOT have previously participated in a WIL programme
- Must be hardworking and committed
- Must be able to cover your own transport and accommodation during the duration of the programme
Qualification Requirements for each programme:
- Administration: must have completed a National Diploma in Public Administration or Public Management
- Finance: must have completed a National Diploma in Financial Management or Financial Accounting
- Supply Chain Management: must have completed a National Diploma in Supply Chain Management or Financial Management
- Office Services: must have completed a National Diploma in Public Management, Office Management or Public Administration
- Human Resource Development: must have completed a National Diploma in Human Resource Development or Human Resource Management
- Human Resource Management: must have completed a Qualification as a Management Assistant

Attach the following documents to your application form:
- A completed SAP91 form (this you can obtain from the South African Police Services)
- A copy of your Permanent Resident Permit (if a foreign national)
- A comprehensive Curriculum Vitae with relevant references
- A certified copy of your Identity Document
- A certified copy of your Matric Certificate
- An original statement of results, N6
- A letter from your institution
- A signed affidavit from a Commissioner of Oaths stating that you have not participated in a WIL programme
