ABOUT THE COMPANY PROVIDING THE LEARNERSHIP:
Tamasa (Pty) Ltd is a training company within the timber and wood products industry. Tamasa's mission is to ensure that high-end training, education, and assessment services are provided to the timber and wood products industries. The aim of their training is to enhance skills, add value to education, and improve the quality of training within the workforce and the surrounding communities that are employed and affiliated with Industry Members.
Tamasa's vision is to be the top education and training provider for the utility wooden pole preservation and timber milling industries in the country.
DETAILS ABOUT THE LEARNERSHIP PROGRAMME:
Location: Howick, KwaZulu-Natal
Duration: 12 months
Number of positions available: 10
Tamasa Training, partnered with Fibre Processing and Manufacturing (FP&M) SETA, is offering a skills development learnership opportunity. This programme is aimed at candidates who are passionate about working in the Forestry Industry. During the 12-month programme, the candidates will gain practical work experience and will be paid a monthly stipend as per SETA requirements.
Upon completion of the programme, the candidates will gain a General Education and Training Certificate in General Forestry (NQF level 1), which will be verified by relevant parties.
This qualification will consist of both the fundamentals (basic communication and mathematics modules) as well as practical learning within the Forestry Industry. This programme also opens the opportunity for employment within the company after the successful completion of the programme.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS NEEDED TO APPLY:
Before applying, please ensure that you meet ALL of the following minimum entry criteria – failure to satisfy all the requirements will result in your application being disqualified:
- Must have completed Matric/ Grade 12 or equivalent
- Must be between the ages of 18 and 35 years old
- Must be a resident of Howick (preferable)
- Must have an excellent command of the English language
- Must be able to execute and understand standard mathematical calculations
- Must be trustworthy
- Must be reliable
