DETAILS ABOUT THE LEARNERSHIP PROGRAMME:
Location: Estcourt, KwaZulu-Natal
Duration: 48 months (4 years)
Nestlé Estcourt Factory is looking for young talented candidates to join their ESAR team - thus they are inviting candidates to apply for 2 learnership/ apprenticeship programmes at the company:
- Instrumentation Apprenticeship
- Mechanical Fitter Apprenticeship

Instrumentation Apprenticeship duties and responsibilities:
- Performing preventative maintenance and repairing equipment
- Managing equipment
- Aligning machinery and equipment
- Assisting in operations
- Partaking in Planned Maintenance activities
- Attending to breakdowns and attend to Break down analysis where required
Mechanical Fitter Apprenticeship duties and responsibilities:
- Performing preventative maintenance on all mechanical equipment
- Installing machinery and equipment
- Assembling machinery and equipment
- Dismantling machinery and equipment
- Aligning machinery and equipment
- Performing repairs and maintenance on machinery and equipment
- Assisting in operations and operating equipment
- Partaking in Planned Maintenance activities
- Attending to breakdowns and breakdown analysis where required
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS NEEDED TO APPLY:
Before applying, please ensure that you meet ALL of the following minimum entry criteria – failure to satisfy all the requirements will result in your application being disqualified:
Instrumentation Apprenticeship/ Learnership:
- Must have completed Grade 12/ Matric
- Must have passed Science and Mathematics in Matric (NOT Mathematics Literacy)
- Must have completed an N2 certificate
- Must be computer literate and be able to use Microsoft Office applications
- Must be focused on results
- Must be customer orientated
- Must be able to work well in a team
- Must be willing to build your skills and work on self-development
- Must be willing to complete the entire 4 year programme
- Must be committed to passing all set modules of the programme
- Must be committed to your own achievement of performance goals
- Must be willing and able to work or support shifts where required
- Must be passionate about the Nestlé Brands
- Preference will be given to students who passed Matric with these subjects: English, Mathematics and Science OR students who have completed an N3, N4, N5, N6 or equivalent qualification
