ABOUT THE COMPANY PROVIDING THE LEARNERSHIP PROGRAMME:
Tiger Brands is one of South Africa's leading packaged goods companies. Along with the countries operations, Tiger Brands has also provided food services to other countries such as Zimbabwe, Chile, Nigeria, Mozambique, Kenya and Cameroon.
Tiger Brands is registered with the FoodBev SETA and provides opportunities in accordance with the requirements set out by SETA. The institution monitors and assesses the necessary work and learning experience needed for certain qualifications to ensure candidates achieve this upon completion.
DETAILS ABOUT THE LEARNERSHIP PROGRAMME:
Location: various sites across South Africa
Duration: 12 months
Tiger Brands is offering learnership opportunities to students, with the aim of developing learners as Operators at various sites. Candidates will be placed at either of these 2 learnerships:
- National Certificate: Food and Beverages Packaging Operations (NQF level 3)
- National Certificate: Production Technology (NQF level 3)
The learnership will allow students to gain knowledge and skills in the workplace, via a structured learning process, which will result in a recognised qualification.
This learnership is in partnership with Optimum Learning Technologies, a training and education provider that delivers learnerships, skills programmes, engineering training, and higher education contextualised to the supply chain in which the manufacture of fast moving consumer goods is central.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS NEEDED TO APPLY:
Before applying, please ensure that you meet ALL of the following minimum entry criteria – failure to satisfy all the requirements will result in your application being disqualified:
- Must be a South African citizen
- Must have completed Matric
- Must passed Mathematics (NOT Mathematics Literacy) in Matric
- Must passed 2 languages in Matric (1 of the languages must be English and 1 of the languages must have been passed as a First language)
- Must be fluent in English and able to pursue NQF3 studies in English
- Must be willing and eager to learn
- Must be hard-working and have a strong work ethic
- Must have a positive can-do attitude
- Must be committed to completing the programme
- Must be able to work shifts and on public holidays if required
