ABOUT THE COMPANY PROVIDING THE LEARNERSHIP:
MiWay is a direct financial services company - they are the first South African-based direct insurance company to offer the purchase and administration of short-term insurance policies online. MiWay was launched in 2008 as an initiative between Santam, Sanlam and PSG.
The direct short-term insurer and financial services company, offers customers a range of short-term insurance products including motor, household, homeowners and business insurance. Offices are based in Gauteng.
DETAILS ABOUT THE LEARNERSHIP PROGRAMME:
Location: Johannesburg & Midrand, Gauteng
Duration: 12 months
MiWay is offering learnership opportunities to enthusiastic unemployed youth, who would like to join the team. The 12 month learnership programmes will take place in Johannesburg and Midrand.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS NEEDED TO APPLY:
Before applying, please ensure that you meet ALL of the following minimum entry criteria – failure to satisfy all the requirements will result in your application being disqualified:
- Must be a South African Citizen
- Must be between the 18 and 35 years old
- Must be unemployed
- Must have completed Matric
- Must have achieved a minimum of 40% for Mathematics in Matric
- Must have achieved a minimum of 40% for First Language and Second Language in in Matric
- Must be willing to complete the programme - working and studying for 12 months
- Must have not taken part in any INSETA learnerships previously
- Must have good record keeping skills
- Must have good filing skills and be able to maintain databases
- Must have good data collection skills and processing of transactions
- Must have good reporting and administration skills
- Must have good quality; compliance and accreditation skills
- Must have good business process skills
- Must have be able to communicate effectively
- Must demonstrate self-awareness
- Must be able to optimise work processes
- Must be resilient
- Must be able to collaborate
- Must be innovative
- Must be customer focused
- Must be results driven
