DETAILS ABOUT THE LEARNERSHIP PROGRAMME:
Location: Johannesburg, Gauteng
Impala Platnium Ltd is offering an Engineering learnership opportunity to candidates who are hardworking and eager to join their team.
The programme is aimed at candidates who are ready to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment whilst making a difference in the world. The successful candidate will assume the role of Engineering learner.
Disciplines covered by the Implats learnership opportunity:
- Boilermaking
- Electrical
- Diesel Mechanic
- Fitting (this includes Machining)
- Instrument Mechanician
- Rigger Ropesman
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS NEEDED TO APPLY:
Before applying, please ensure that you meet ALL of the following minimum entry criteria – failure to satisfy all the requirements will result in your application being disqualified:
- Must have completed Mathematics N2
- Must have completed Engineering Science
- Must have completed the following subjects relating to the learnership:
- Boilermaking learnership: must have completed Plating and Structural Steel drawing N2 and Platers theory
- Electrical learnership: must have completed Industrial Electronics N2 and Electrical trade theory
- Diesel Mechanic learnership: must have completed Electrical drawing N2 and Diesel mechanic trade theory
- Fitting learnership: must have completed Electrical drawing N2 and Fitting trade theory
- Instrument Mechanic learnership: must have completed Industrial Electronics N2 and Instrument trade theory
- Rigging learnership: must have completed Electrical drawing N2 and Rigging theory
- Must be a member of the youth
- Must be passionate
- Must be hardworking
- Must have a valid medical certificate OR must be able (medically fit) to obtain one
HOW TO APPLY FOR THE LEARNERSHIP PROGRAMME:
All applications must be submitted to the relevant MCLEF Councillor OR Kgosana who will then submit it to Impala Stakeholder Engagement Office.
Please submit the following documents with your application:
- A cover letter
- An updated Curriculum Vitae
- A certified copy of your Identity Document
- A certified copy of your Grade 12 certificate
- A certified copy of your N2 qualification with 4 subjects relevant to your chosen trade
- A certified copy of your academic record and results
Please note:
- All applicants from RBN communities must include letters from Kgosana confirming residence
- All applicants from RLM communities must include letters from Ward Councillors confirming residence
- CV's submitted by community members will NOT be accepted by the Stakeholder Engagement Office
- Shortlisted candidates will be required to undergo psychometric assessments
- Preference will be given to candidates from designated groups
