ABOUT THE COMPANY PROVIDING THE LEARNERSHIP:

The mission of the Mpumalanga Department of Community Safety, Security and Liaison is to improve community and road traffic safety through mass mobilisation, oversee the performance of the police, and provide security services.

The Department's strategic goals are: effective investment in resources and systems for the delivery of quality services; improvement of quality of life through eradication of crime; civilian oversight over the South African Police Service; and effective road traffic safety in the province.
 

DETAILS ABOUT THE LEARNERSHIP PROGRAMME:

Location: Calcutta, Mpumalanga
Duration: 12 months

The Department of Community Safety, Security and Liaison, as part of the Mpumalanga Provincial Government, is offering a Traffic Officers Diploma Learnership opportunity to unemployed candidates within the province.

The aim of the programme is to provide an opportunity for youth to gain knowledge and skills within the Traffic Law enforcement field.
 

Traffic training will take place in Mkhuhlu (Calcutta), at the Mpumalanga Traffic Training College, within the Bushbuckridge Local Municipality.

After completing the training, learners will receive a Diploma in Basic Traffic Officers: NQF 4.
 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS NEEDED TO APPLY:

Before applying, please ensure that you meet ALL of the following minimum entry criteria – failure to satisfy all the requirements will result in your application being disqualified:

  • Must be a South African Citizen
  • Must be between 18-35 years old
  • Must have completed Grade 12/ Matric
  • Must have a valid Code B drivers license (as a minimum)
  • Must be a from a previously disadvantaged community (preferably)
  • Must have NO criminal records
  • Must be fit and proper
  • Must be committed to completing the 12 month programme

  • The DCSSL will verify all candidates drivers license and qualifications.
