ABOUT THE COMPANY PROVIDING THE LEARNERSHIP PROGRAMME:
Two Rivers, a joint venture between African Rainbow Minerals (ARM) (51%) and Implats (49%), is managed by ARM. The operation is situated on the farm Dwarsrivier on the southern part of the eastern limb of the Bushveld Complex some 35 kilometers south-west of Burgersforst in Mpumalanga, South Africa.
The operation comprises two on-reef decline shafts and a concentrator plant and has a life-of-mine offtake agreement with Impala Refining Services (IRS).
Two Rivers is committed to social development initiatives and engages in, develops and builds community relationships. DETAILS ABOUT THE LEARNERSHIP PROGRAMME:
Location: Burgersforst, Mpumalanga
Two Rivers Platinum Mine is offering learnership opportunities, for candidates interested in joining engineering learning prorgrammes.
The following programmes are currently open for application:
- Electrician Learnership: candidates will complete a National Certificate: Electrician (NQF level 4)
- Diesel Mechanic Learnership: candidates will complete a National Certificate: Diesel Mechanics (NQF level 3)
- Engineering Learnership: candidates will complete a National Certificate: Mechanical Fitter
- Boilermaker Learnership: candidates will complete a National Certificate: Plater/ Boiler Maker (NQF level 3)
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS NEEDED TO APPLY:
Before applying, please ensure that you meet ALL of the following minimum entry criteria – failure to satisfy all the requirements will result in your application being disqualified:
Electrician Learnership:
- Must have completed one of the following:
- Matric/ Grade 12 with Mathematics (not Mathematical Literacy), Electrical Technology and Technical Electrical
- N2 certificate with 4 subjects: Mathematics, Engineering Science, Engineering Drawing for Electronics, Electrical Trade Theory
- Relevant Engineering NCV certificate with 7 subjects at NQF level 3
- Relevant N6 certificate directly related to trade theory subjects or National Technical Diploma (T, S or N stream)
- Must have a minimum of 2 years engineering experience, if applicable
- Must be fluent in English
- Must have strong numeracy skills
- Advantageous: completed Engineering Aide/ Generic Engineering Skills Programme
- Advantageous: N3 – N6 Engineering related certificates
Diesel Mechanic Learnership:
- Must have completed one of the following:
- Matric/ Grade 12 with Mathematics, Physical Science, Motor Mechanics SG and Mechanical Techology
- N2 certificate with 4 subjects: Mathematics, Engineering Science, Engineering Drawing and Diesel or Motor Trade Theory
- Relevant Engineering NCV certificate with 7 subjects at NQF level 3
- Relevant N6 certificate directly related to trade theory subjects or National Technical Diploma (T, S or N stream)
- Must be fluent in English
- Must have strong numeracy skills
- Advantageous: minimum of 2 years engineering experience, if applicable
- Advantageous: completed operative/ Generic Engineering Skills Programme
- Advantageous: N3 – N6 Engineering related certificates
Engineering Learnership:
- Must have completed one of the following:
- Matric/ Grade 12 with Mathematics (not Mathematical Literacy), Physical Science, Mechanical Techology SG and Engineering Graphics & Design
- N2 certificate with 4 subjects: Mathematics, Engineering Science, Engineering Drawing and Fitter Trade Theory or Fitting and Machining Theory
- Relevant Engineering NCV certificate with 7 subjects at NQF level 3
- Relevant N6 certificate directly related to trade theory subjects or National Technical Diploma (T, S or N stream)
- Must be fluent in English
- Must have strong numeracy skills
- Advantageous: minimum of 2 years engineering experience, if applicable
- Advantageous: completed operative/ Generic Engineering Skills Programme
- Advantageous: N3 – N6 Engineering related certificates
Boilermaker Learnership:
- Must have completed one of the following:
- Matric/ Grade 12 with Mathematics, Physical Science, Welding & Metal Work, Technical Drawing SG and Engineering Graphics & Design
- N2 certificate with 4 subjects: Mathematics, Engineering Science, Plating & Structural Steel Drawing and Platers Theory
- Advantageous: certificate/ experience in the Engineering field
