DETAILS ABOUT THE INTERNSHIP PROGRAMME:
Location: Pietermaritzburg, KwaZulu-Natal
Duration: 12 Months
Belgotex is offering a Operations Graduate Internship to Supply Chain Management (or similar) graduates.
The intern will provide assistance in the manufacturing process of the business through operating efficiencies, lean production, monitoring plant operations and recommend improvements. The intern will report to the Senior Production Manager and will support production managers in delivering production performance improvements.
Graduates will have the following responsibilities:
- To develop an understanding and apply technical expertise to assigned processes
- To identify initiatives to deliver significant improvements in these areas: Safety, Quality, Operating Efficiencies (Labour, Process Lines and Cost Optimisation), Materials Control and efficiency.
- To maintain awareness of best practice and modern improvement techniques
- To provide an administrative role within production departments
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS NEEDED TO APPLY:

- Must have completed Grade 12 / Matric
- Must have completed a Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management or similar
- Must be computer literate
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office 365
- Must pay close attention to detail
- Must be able to work under pressure
- Must be an analytical thinker
- Must be deadline / results driven
- Must be able to take initiative
- Must have good communication skills
- Must have strong interpersonal skills
- Must be committed to continuous learning and have a curious mind
