DETAILS ABOUT THE INTERNSHIP PROGRAMME:
Location: Pretoria, Gauteng
Duration: 12 months
Salary: between R6 375 and R8 375 per month (depending on qualification level)
The National Metrology Institute of South Africa (NMISA) is offering a 12-month internship opportunity within the Supply Chain Management (SCM) sector. During the programme, the candidate will receive training within the Supply Chain Management sector and will perform various secretarial, administrative, and clerical duties.
Interns will be expected to provide efficient and excellent service to all international divisions as well as ensure that NMISA follows all SCM rules and regulations.
The candidate will be paid a monthly salary based on the level of qualification they possess.
Key performance areas of the programme:
- Making copies of and scanning all tender documents
- Filing SCM documents
- Ensuring all meetings are prepared and arranged
- Data capturing and ensuring files are updated accordingly
- Uploading tender documents to the website
- Following up on and updating expired documents (e.g. Tax Clearance, BBBEE certificates, SBD forms with suppliers)
- Performing help desk functions
- Ensuring supplier’s invoices, statements, orders, and more are followed up
- Managing all documents and filing SCM documents correctly
- Registering, processing, and forwarding all invoices from suppliers to the Finance Officer
- Ensuring all delivered goods are received and verified
- Performing any other assigned duties relating to SCM
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS NEEDED TO APPLY:
Before applying, please ensure that you meet ALL of the following minimum entry criteria – failure to satisfy all the requirements will result in your application being disqualified:
- Must have completed a 3-year tertiary qualification in Supply Chain Management or Logistics
- Advantageous: completed a postgraduate qualification
- Must be Coloured, Indian, or Black
- Must know the relevant legislations (PFMA, etc.)
- Must have knowledge and skills in MS Office Software Package
- Must have excellent communication skills
- Must have excellent report writing skills
- Must be an analytical thinker
- Must be driven
- Must have a passion for perfection
- Must be detail orientated
- Must be dependable
- Must be helpful
- Must be honest and ethical
- Must be able to work well in a team
