Ergo Mining (Pty) Ltd is offering a learnership opportunity to candidates from the local community wanting to pursue a career within the Engineering sector. The learnership programme is available for the following Engineering disciplines:
- Electrical
- Diesel Mechanic
- Fabrication
- Fitting and Machining
- Rigger
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS NEEDED TO APPLY:
Before applying, please ensure that you meet ALL of the following minimum entry criteria – failure to satisfy all the requirements will result in your application being disqualified:
- Must have completed Grade 12/ Matric with a minimum grade of 40% for Mathematics and Physical Science
- OR
- Must have completed an N2 Mathematics and Engineering Science
- Advantageous: completed an N2 covering all relevant subjects of your trade of choice
- Must be a community member/ reside within a 10km radius of ERGO plant or operations site
- Must be willing and able to partake in various assessment tests during the selection process

Ergo Mining (Pty) Ltd, part of the Metal Ore Mining Industry, is the largest uranium reserve within South Africa and is located in north Gauteng. The company currently has more than 400 employees across various locations and generates about $51.90 million USD in sales. Ergo re-commissioned the Ergo Gold, Uranium, as well as the Acid Plant in Brakpan for processing gold reserves. The mining operation's assets include access to tailings across the province, a 50km pipeline, as well as tailings deposition facilities.
