DETAILS ABOUT THE INTERNSHIP PROGRAMME:

Location: Pretoria, Gauteng
Duration: 1 year

The FSCA is offering an internship opportunity to young graduates. The intern will be taught the necessary knowledge and skills, as well as be exposed to market conduct regulation and supervision - the intern will gain a broad understanding of the role these factors play within the company. The intern will also have the opportunity to work closely with a mentor and be assigned to a division depending on their career aspirations, various competency-based roles, and qualifications. The candidate will also have the opportunity to attend various soft and technical skills training programmes during this internship opportunity.

The programme aims to foster individuals who are proficient financial analysts as well as semi-skilled employees, not only for the FSCA but also for South Africa. With the knowledge obtained from the programme, the candidate will have the means to transform the integrity of financial markets to protect customers, provide customers with financial education, ensure financial institutions behave ethically, and maintain financial stability.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS NEEDED TO APPLY:

Before applying, please ensure that you meet ALL of the following minimum entry criteria – failure to satisfy all the requirements will result in your application being disqualified:

Must be a South African Citizen
Must be a Graduate with interest in any of the following areas:
- Banks and Payment Providers: Bachelor: Accounting / BCom Economics / LLB
- CFO Office: Bachelor Accounting/ BTech/ BCom General/ BCom Logistics
- Communication and Language Services: Bachelor in Communications / Design / Art Direction / Web Design
- Conduct Supervision: LLB
- Consumer Education: Bachelor: Communications / Marketing / Education
- Corporate Services: Bachelor of Art/ BCom in Administration or Social Sciences
- Data Analysis: STEM Degree and EDSA Training
- Disclosure, Advertising, and Market Analysis: Bachelor in Economics/Marketing
- Enforcement: Bachelor in Forensic Accounting
- Governance, Risk, and Assurance: Bachelors in (Law, Risk or Finance)
- ICT: Applications, Infrastructure & Operations: BSc Information Technology
- ICT: Data and Analytics Services: Bachelor in Information Technology
- ICT: Governance, Risk and Compliance: Bachelor in Information Technology or BCom Informatics or BTech (Risk or Compliance or Governance)
- Regulatory Framework: LLB / Economics
Must have NO work experience
Must have a passion for working in the financial services sector
