DETAILS ABOUT THE INTERNSHIP PROGRAMME:

Location: Mossel Bay, Western Cape
Contract duration: 12 months
Pay/ Stipend: R7 531.43 per month

Mossel Bay Municipality is offering an Integrated Human Settlements Internship Programme to unemployed graduates. The programme is aimed at university graduates looking to gain work experience related to their field of study.

The programme will run for 12 months with the possibility of being extended to a maximum of 3 years total.
 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS NEEDED TO APPLY:

Before applying, please ensure that you meet ALL of the following minimum entry criteria – failure to satisfy all the requirements will result in your application being disqualified:

  • Must be a South African Citizen
  • Must be unemployed
  • Must be a graduate
  • Must have completed a 3 year Degree or National Diploma (NQF Level 6 or above) in Public Administration or Human Settlements
  • Must be seeking work experience in your field of study
  • Must be computer literate
  • Must have experience in using MS Office applications
  • Must be fluent in at least 2 of the official languages of the Western Cape
  • Must be willing to work overtime, when required
  • Must NOT have been previously employed as an Intern in the Public Sector
  • Preference will be given to candidates residing within the Mossel Bay area, however candidates from other regions may also apply

ABOUT THE COMPANY PROVIDING THE INTERNSHIP:

The Mossel Bay municipally was established in 1852 it became a Municipality and later, merged with other areas as a result of the new municipal dispensation if 2000. The Municipality is located halfway on the coast of Cape Town and Port Elizabeth whilst being bordered by George, Langeberg, and Oudtshoorn. Mossel Bay Municipality's main economic objective is to ensure the promotion of agricultural activities such as fauna and flora( aloes, dairy, cattle, sheep ostriches, timber, sheep, wines, and vegetables), as well as petrochemicals, fishing, light industry, and tourism.
