DETAILS ABOUT THE INTERNSHIP PROGRAMME:
Location: Arcadia, Pretoria, Gauteng
Duration: 12 months
Number of positions available: 12
Stipend: dependent on qualification level:
- National Diploma qualifications: R6 174.96 per month
- Degree or Honours qualifications: R9 378.33 per month
- Masters qualifications: R11 148.81 per month
- Doctorate qualifications: R13 915.12 per month
The Pan South African Language Board (PanSALB) is offering Internship opportunities in various fields, to unemployed graduates who are interested in gaining practical work experience and pursuing a public service career.
Internships are available in these fields:
- Language Internship (6 positions available)
- Finance Internship (1 position available)
- Supply Chain Management Internship (1 position available)
- Communication Internship (1 position available)
- Human Resources Management & Development Internship (1 position available)
- Institutional Performance and Governance Internship (1 position available)
- Information Communication Technology Internship (1 position available)
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS NEEDED TO APPLY:
Before applying, please ensure that you meet ALL of the following minimum entry criteria – failure to satisfy all the requirements will result in your application being disqualified:
- Must have completed a relevant 3 years tertiary qualification (NQF 6) and above
- Language Internship: must have completed one of these qualifications: Degree, Diploma, Honours or Master’s Degree in one of these fields: Language Practice, Translation & Interpreting, Linguistic Human Rights,Status Language, Planning, Language in Education and Computational Linguistics
- Finance Internship: must have completed one of these qualifications: Degree, Diploma, Honours or Master’s in one of these fields: Financial Management, Accounting, Cost Accounting
- Supply Chain Management Internship: must have completed one of these qualifications: Degree, Diploma, Honours or Master’s in one of these fields: Supply Chain Management, Logistics Management, Purchasing Management
- Communication Internship: must have completed one of these qualifications: Degree, Diploma, Honours or Master’s in one of these fields: Graphic Design, Visual or
Brand Communication - Human Resources Management & Development Internship: must have completed one of these qualifications: Degree, Diploma, Honours or Master’s in one of these fields: HRD, Training Management, HRM
- Institutional Performance and Governance Internship: must have completed one of these qualifications: Degree, Diploma, Honours or Master’s in Public Administration or Management, Social Science
- Information Communication Technology Internship: must have completed one of these qualifications: Degree or Diploma in one of these fields: Information in Information and Communications Technology - Support Service
- Must be unemployed
- Must be interested in a public service career
- Must have NOT been exposed to any previous work experience in your area of study
- Must have NOT participated in any previous internship programmes in a government department or institutions

- Comprehensive Curriculum Vitae
- Certified copy of your Identity Document
- Certified copy of your relevant qualifications
- SAQA evaluation report on the qualification, if you have a foreign qualification
Please note:
- Candidates who reside outside of the internship region must be required to arrange their own accommodation and transportation.
- All candidates will be subject to pre-employment screening.
- Graphic design candidates must attach a portfolio (maximum file size 3MB).
- Shortlisted candidates will be contacted. If you have not been contacted within 1 month of the closing date, consider your application unsuccessful.
