Duration: 1 year
Esayidi TVET College, along with the NSF (National Skills Fund), is offering Learnership opportunities, for skill training within the fields of Banking and Civil Engineering.
The following learnership positions are available:
Banking Learnership:
- Location: Oshabeni Campus
- Number of positions available: 20
- After completion, learners will receive: National Certificate in Generic Management Banking (NQF level 5)
Civil Engineering Learnership:
- Location: Inyonemhlophe Campus
- Number of positions available: 20
- After completion, learners will receive: Community House Building. SAQA ID: 24273 (NQF level 2)
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS NEEDED TO APPLY:
Before applying, please ensure that you meet ALL of the following minimum entry criteria – failure to satisfy all the requirements will result in your application being disqualified:
Banking Learnership:
- Must reside within the UGU district
- Must be unemployed
- Must be between the ages of 18 and 35 years old
- Must have completed Matric/ Grade 12
- Must be willing to complete the programme
- Must be willing to travel for learning and work experience
- Must NOT be registered with any training institution
- Advantageous: aptitude in the banking sector
Civil Engineering Learnership:
- Must reside within the UGU district
- Must have completed Grade 10
- Must be willing to complete the programme
- Must be physically fit
- Must be able to work at heights
- Advantageous: aptitude in the building sector

- Certified copy of your highest qualification completed

- Preference will be given to candidates who have never registered at a higher education and training institution and have never taken part in any learnership or apprenticeship programmes.

Esayidi Technical Vocational Education and Training (TVET) College was formed in 2003, after a merger of 2 previous institutions: Port Shepstone Technical College and Enyenyezi Technical Colleges. Today, Esayidi TVET College has 6 main campuses and various Community Development Centers across the Southern KwaZulu-Natal Region.
Esayidi TVET College has been identified as central to meeting the challenges of the Govenment's human resources development objective, especially that of reducing unemployment through skills and human resource development.
