DETAILS ABOUT THE INTERNSHIP PROGRAMME:

Location: Ndabeni, Cape Town, Western Cape

Lasec International is offering a Sales Internship opportunity, whereby the intern will assist the International Sales Team in their sales activities in the international arena.
 

Responsibilities and duties of the programme:

  • Achieve sales targets
  • Deal with existing clients and new clients who contact the Company
  • Establish and develop relationships with the clients
  • Take specifications from the client, researching the products required and correlating these to the products sold by the Company and developing a quotation for the client
  • Follow up with the clients
  • Support and assist external sales representatives where necessary
  • Update and maintain the customer database

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS NEEDED TO APPLY:

Before applying, please ensure that you meet ALL of the following minimum entry criteria – failure to satisfy all the requirements will result in your application being disqualified:

  • Must have completed a Bachelor of Science degree or a similar B Tech degree
  • Advantageous: majored in either of these fields: microbiology, biochemistry, chemical pathology or genetics
  • Advantageous: experience in working with laboratory equipment
  • Must be computer literate and have a good understanding and working knowledge of Microsoft packages (Word, Excel and Outlook)
  • Must have excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Must be fluent in English
  • Must be self-motivated
  • Must be able to work as part of a team
