DETAILS ABOUT THE INTERNSHIP PROGRAMME:
Location: Amajuba, KwaZulu-Natal
Duration: 24 months

Salary: R18 400 per month (all inclusive)
The Amajuba District Municipality is offering a RRAMS (Rural Roads Asset Management Systems) Internship opportunity to 4 candidates, within the Engineering Services Department. Interns will enter a experience gaining programme, for a period of 24 months.
Interns will perform various duties related to the Rural Road Assessment System at Amajuba, which may included but are not limited to:
- Providing assistance with capturing road furniture, Road visual condition assessment
- Providing assistance with traffic studies and in bridge inventory
- Identifying high risk projects and ensuring compliance with standards
- Analyzing and cleaning data
- Compiling monthly, quarterly and annual reports
- Participating in project management activities
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS NEEDED TO APPLY:
Before applying, please ensure that you meet ALL of the following minimum entry criteria – failure to satisfy all the requirements will result in your application being disqualified:
- Must have completed Matric
- Must have completed an S4 qualification in any of these fields: Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering or equivalent Technologists related fields
- Must have knowledge of Project Management
- Must be committed to completing the programme
- Preferably must be unemployed
- Preferably must residing in the Amajuba Municipal District
