DETAILS ABOUT THE INTERNSHIP PROGRAMME:

SANSA is offering an Electronic Engineering Internship opportunity to 2 Electronic Engineering graduates. The programme will take place at the Space Operations programme, in Hartebeesthoek, Gauteng.
During this programme, the intern will use their skills and knowledge to benefit the interests of the nation, whilst driving commercial success and ensuring customer satisfaction. The intern will be exposed to satellite ground station operations, which include rendering Earth-Observation satellite data acquisition services to the organisation's Earth-observation directorate. The candidate will also provide support and satellite monitoring services relating to Tracking, Telemetry, and Commercial (TT&C)- they will provide this to a host of international satellite operators and space agencies.
Key performance areas of the programme:
- Operating, monitoring, and maintaining Radio Frequency (RF), antenna systems, and electronic equipment used in satellite ground station operations
- Participating in TT&C operations by rendering ground segment services to Satellite
Launch Vehicles (SLV) including launch, Launch and Early-orbit, Transfer-orbit support, and In-orbit test operations. - Ensuring SANSA-owned and customer-hosted systems, infrastructure, and operations are provided with Operations and Maintenance services
- Performing general Ad-hoc project work
- Working on new/ existing systems, projects, and/or processes when required
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS NEEDED TO APPLY:

- Must have completed a 3-year Diploma in Electronic Engineering
- Advantageous: completed coursework in Satellite Communications and/or Telecommunications
- Must have a valid Driver's License
- Must have own reliable transport
- Must be a graduate
- Must have a key understanding of Microwave principles, applications, and Telecommunications
- Must be proficient in English
- Must have excellent communication skills (oral and written)
- Must be proficient in MS Office
- Must be able to use both hands and have excellent vision
- Must have excellent academic results
- Must be passionate about the success of the national space industry
- Must be creative
- Must be able to succeed in a High Performing environment
