DETAILS ABOUT THE INTERNSHIP PROGRAMME:
Location: South Africa
Duration: 24 months
Stipend: R8 713.50 per month
The Mining Qualifications Authority (MQA) is offering a Finance Internship opportunity to graduates, looking for experience within the field. The intern will join the Finance Unit, where they will report to the Finance Manager.
The intern will be responsible for the following tasks and duties:
- Processing invoices on the accounting software
- Processing electronic payments
- Reconciling creditor’s statements
- Processing journals
- Reconciling the creditors’ control account
- Performing bank reconciliations
- Performing financial internal controls
- Performing general administration in a finance environment
- Performing any other functions as delegated by the Specialist or the Manager
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS NEEDED TO APPLY:
Before applying, please ensure that you meet ALL of the following minimum entry criteria – failure to satisfy all the requirements will result in your application being disqualified:
- Must be a South African Citizen
- Must have completed Grade 12/ Matric
- Must have completed a National Diploma or NQF level 6 equivalent in the Financial or Accounting field
- Advantageous: completed a Bachelor’s Degree or NQF Level 7 equivalent in the Financial and Accounting field
- Must be unemployed
- Must be computer literate
- Must be proficiency in MS Office packages
- Must have strong communication skills
- Must have good interpersonal skills
- Must have an understanding of legislation and developments, with regards to education and training
- Must be able to work under pressure
- Must have a proactive attitude
- Must pay close attention to detail
- Must have NOT participated in any previous internhip programmes
