DETAILS ABOUT THE LEARNERSHIP PROGRAMME:
Location: Breede Valley NU, Western Cape
Stipend: R2 500 per month
The Department of Transport and Public Works: Cape Winelands Region, is offering a Electrical Engineering L4 (EECW) Learnership opportunity to unemployed youth within the province.
Duties of the programme:
- Undergoing theoretical and practical training at a public or private TVET college
- Working on a building site
- Applying health and safety regulations
- Maintaining work areas
- Undertaking administrative tasks
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS NEEDED TO APPLY:
Before applying, please ensure that you meet ALL of the following minimum entry criteria – failure to satisfy all the requirements will result in your application being disqualified:
- Must be between 18 and 30 years old
- Must reside within the Western Cape
- Must be unemployed
- Must have completed Matric/ Grade 12 with a pass in Mathematics Literacy
- Preference will be given to learners who completed a Learnership: Electrical Learnership L3
- Must be in good health
- Must be willing to undergo a medical and substance abuse examination
- Must be willing to work on a construction site as part of the learnership training
- Must be willing to travel and work at various building sites across the Western Cape
- Must be willing to sign a 12-month Learnership Agreement
