DETAILS ABOUT THE INTERNSHIP PROGRAMME:

Location: Eastern Cape
Duration: 12 months
Number of positions available: 3 (1 for each of the internships below)

The Automotive Industry Development Centre Eastern Cape (AIDC-EC) is offering 3 internship opportunities to graduates who are interested in gaining skills within these sectors: Business Management and Administration, Information and Communications Technology, Marketing and Communications.

The following internship opportunities are available:

  • Business Management and Administration Internship (whereby the graduate will assist with the development and execution of internal communication initiatives)
  • Information and Communications Technology Internship (whereby the graduate will provide support by monitoring and providing administration technology to AIDC-EC, ensuring optimal and secure functioning of all technology and equipment)
  • Marketing and Communications Internship (whereby the graduate will assist with the development and execution of internal communication initiatives)

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS NEEDED TO APPLY:

Before applying, please ensure that you meet ALL of the following minimum entry criteria – failure to satisfy all the requirements will result in your application being disqualified:
Business Management and Administration Internship

  • Must have completed a 3-year qualification in Business Administration/ Management
  • Must be computer literate with proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
  • Must be detail-oriented
  • Must be self-motivated
  • Must have good organisational skills
  • Must be able to priortize duties
  • Must be able to adapt to any situation
  • Must be able to work well under pressure
  • Advantageous: a valid Driver's license

Information and Communications Technology Internship

  • Must have completed a 3-year qualification in Computer Science or Information Systems/ Technology/ Electronics (NQF level 6)
  • Advantageous: completed a Bachelor's of Technology in any of these above fields
  • Must be computer literate with proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
  • Must be CISCO CCNA (ICDN1+ ICDN2) certified
  • Must have Network knowledge (N+)
  • Advantageous: IT Network knowledge
  • Advantageous: a valid Driver's license

Marketing and Communications Internship

  • Must have completed a 3-year degree or diploma in Brand or Marketing
    Management
  • Must have a passion for marketing
  • Must be computer literate with proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
  • Must demonstrate knowledge and application to analyze marketing campaigns, provide data insights, Principle component analysis, Data modeling, and Predictive analytics
  • Advantageous: Graphic Design, in combination with Web Developer/ Coding
  • Advantageous: a valid Driver's license

The Automotive Industry Development Centre Eastern Cape (AIDC-EC) is wholly owned by the Eastern Cape Development Corporation (ECDC.) The AIDC-EC acts as the province's institutional mechanism, responsible for promoting and growing the automotive industry whilst supporting the government's automotive-related objectives. Through this, AIDC-EC actively contributes toward job creation and economic growth by following the ECDC's macro-development plan.
The AIDC-EC's head office is located in Port Elizabeth, Eastern Cape within the Nelson Mandela Bay economic hub.
