DETAILS ABOUT THE INTERNSHIP PROGRAMME:
Location: Midrand, Gauteng
Deloitte is offering an Equity Research Internship opportunity in Audit Quality and Risk, to graduates within the Financial sector.
Key Performance Areas of the Programme:
- Risk identification and identification of potential brand damaging events to Deloitte Africa Audit & Assurance.
- Support the proactive identification of potential brand damaging events to the Deloitte Africa Audit and Assurance portfolio using the Audit Risk Sensing team and specialists (where required) using the Integrated Risk Sensing Model (IRSM).
- Provide internal clients (engagement teams and Audit and Assurance business/ executive) with independent risk opinion as a service offering for existing and target listed clients across Africa, through the performance of equity research.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS NEEDED TO APPLY:
Before applying, please ensure that you meet ALL of the following minimum entry criteria – failure to satisfy all the requirements will result in your application being disqualified:
- Must have completed a BCom in either of these fields: Finance and Investment Management / Economics / Risk Management OR
- Must have completed an Honours in either of these fields: Accounting / Finance / Risk Degree
- Must have 0 to 1 years working experience in a role with exposure to risk management / due diligence
- Must have experience delivering on broad research projects/ topics for dissemination in market
- Must have industry and business knowledge
- Must have basic report writing skills
- Must have basic financial knowledge
- Must have basic research skills
- Must have basic analytical, problem solving and critical thinking skills
- Must have basic ability to perform risk based financial statement analysis
- Must be able to work well in a team environment
- Must have good communication skills (written and verbal)
- Must have good time management skills
- Must have good interpersonal and relationship building skills
- Must be focused on quality and risk
