DETAILS ABOUT THE INTERNSHIP PROGRAMME:

Location: Eastern Cape
Duration: 24 months
Number of positions available: 11
Salary/ Stipend: R6 000 per month

The Eastern Cape Liquor Board (ECLB) is offering 11 Internship opportunities to suitably qualified graduates, who are interested in gaining exposure and experience in their field.

ECLB is offering the following internships:

  • ICT/ Computer Science/ Database/ System Development (2 positions)
  • Business Administration/ Public Management/ Management Sciences/ Social Sciences (2 positions)
  • Financial Management (2 positions)
  • Communication Science/ Journalism/ Public Relations (2 positions)
  • Legal Services/ Legal Secretary/ Paralegal (1 position)
  • Human Resources Management/ Organisation Development/ Industrial Psychology (1 position)
  • Supply Chain Management/ Logistics (1 position)

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS NEEDED TO APPLY:

Before applying, please ensure that you meet ALL of the following minimum entry criteria – failure to satisfy all the requirements will result in your application being disqualified:

  • Must be a South African citizen
  • Must be between the ages of 20 and 35 years
  • Must have completed a Degree/ National Diploma (NQF 6) or an Honours or Masters in any of the above internship fields
  • Must have studied at an accredited Institutions of Higher Learning
  • Must be unemployed
  • Must have not participated in any internship in the Public Service

ABOUT THE COMPANY PROVIDING THE INTERNSHIP:

The function of the ECLB is to regulate the registration of retail sales and micro manufacturing of liquor in the province. A further function of the ECLB is to advise the Member of the Executive Council of the Province for Economic Development and Environmental Affairs with regard to liquor industry matters and to exercise certain further powers contemplated in the Eastern Cape Liquor Act 10 of 2003, and the National Liquor Act 53 of 2003.
