AECI Mining Chemicals is offering an NQF-2 Chemical Operations Learnership opportunity to students who have completed their Matric with Mathematics and Science. Learners will assist the plant operator with daily duties and perform Ad-Hoc duties.
Duties and Responsibilities of the Programme:
- NQF 2 unit standards plant operation training.
- Filling and emptying of bags and drums.
- Loading and offloading of bags/raw materials.
- General Housekeeping on plant.
- Operate plant with plant operator’s assistance.
- Complete production process documentation as per process requirements.
- Process monitoring and operation after competency declaration.
- Working at heights.
- Medically fit to work in a chemical environment (working at heights and in confined spaces).
- Ability to be trained to drive forklift.
- Able to work shifts and overtime duties as and when required.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS NEEDED TO APPLY:
Before applying, please ensure that you meet ALL of the following minimum entry criteria – failure to satisfy all the requirements will result in your application being disqualified:
- Must have completed Matric/ Grade 12 with Mathematics and Science as subjects
- Must be between 18 and 25 years old
- Must have basic computer knowledge
- Must have high attention to detail
- Must have excellent communication skills
- Must have good time management skills
- Must be able to work well in a team
- Must have excellent safety awareness
- Must be able to work at heights and in confined spaces
- Must be medically fit to work in a chemical environment
- Must be able to complete training to drive a forklift
- Must be able to work shifts and overtime duties when required
