AECI Mining Chemicals is offering an NQF-2 Chemical Operations Learnership opportunity to students who have completed their Matric with Mathematics and Science. Learners will assist the plant operator with daily duties and perform Ad-Hoc duties.

Duties and Responsibilities of the Programme:

NQF 2 unit standards plant operation training.
Filling and emptying of bags and drums.
Loading and offloading of bags/raw materials.
General Housekeeping on plant.
Operate plant with plant operator’s assistance.
Complete production process documentation as per process requirements.
Process monitoring and operation after competency declaration.
Working at heights.
Medically fit to work in a chemical environment (working at heights and in confined spaces).
Ability to be trained to drive forklift.
Able to work shifts and overtime duties as and when required.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS NEEDED TO APPLY:

Must have completed Matric/ Grade 12 with Mathematics and Science as subjects
Must be between 18 and 25 years old
Must have basic computer knowledge
Must have high attention to detail
Must have excellent communication skills
Must have good time management skills
Must be able to work well in a team
Must have excellent safety awareness
Must be able to work at heights and in confined spaces
Must be medically fit to work in a chemical environment
Must be able to complete training to drive a forklift
Must be able to work shifts and overtime duties when required
