Bidvest International Logistics is offering a learnership opportunity to candidates who live with disabilities and are interested in pursuing a career within the Freight and Logistics industry. The company believes in fostering new talent and has provided several logistic sector-based learnerships to many students over the years, bridging the gap between unemployment.
During the programme, candidates will work within the Human Resources Department and report to the National Training and Compliance Manager. This 12-month programme aims to allow the candidates to gain valuable work experience and obtain a formal qualification through TETA (Transport Education and Training Authority.)
Key Performance Areas of the Programme:
- Committing to the full duration of the learnership programme
- Completing all theoretical and practical components within 4 divisions: Airfreight, Roadfreight, Seafreight, and Warehousing
- Completing all your modules on the BIL eLearning Platform
- Compiling a portfolio of evidence and submitting it once you have completed the qualification
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS NEEDED TO APPLY:
Before applying, please ensure that you meet ALL of the following minimum entry criteria – failure to satisfy all the requirements will result in your application being disqualified:
- Must be a South African Citizen
- Must have completed Matric/ equivalent
- Must be between the ages of 18 and 35 years old
- Must be living with a disability
- Must be able to complete the full duration of the programme
- Must show a key interest in the Transport and Logistics industry
- Must have basic computer literacy skills
- Must be independent
- Must be determined and committed
- Must be accountable
- Must have excellent self-control regarding the stipend and your studies
- Must be professional
- Must be presentable
- Must have excellent communication skills
