DETAILS ABOUT THE INTERNSHIP PROGRAMME:

Location: Gauteng
Duration: 13 months

Caterpillar is offering a graduate programme (internship) opportunity to candidates interested in pursuing a career in the Construction Industry - Service Division.

The programme will run from 1 July 2022 until 31 July 2023. During the programme, the candidate will have the opportunity to establish the career they want, enhance their workplace skills, build strong relationships, and use the latest digital technologies to make a global change.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS NEEDED TO APPLY:

Before applying, please ensure that you meet ALL of the following minimum entry criteria – failure to satisfy all the requirements will result in your application being disqualified:

  • Must have completed a Bachelor’s or Master's Degree in any of these fields: Business Management/ Administration, Communication and Digital Media, Computer Science, Entrepreneurship, Business Innovation, Economics, Statistics, Data Analytics, Engineering (Civil Engineering/ Mechanical Engineering), International Relations/ Political Science/ International Business, Marketing Management/ Digital Marketing
  • Must be a recent graduate or in the early stage of your career (0-2 years maximum of work experience)
  • Must be fluent in English
  • Advantageous: fluent in any other additional language- preferably German, Arabic, or French
  • Must be available for employment on 1 July 2022
  • Must have experience/interest in project management, data mining, digital product management, data clean up, and/or digital marketing (such as social media platforms, photoshop, etc.)
  • Must have customer-facing experience in an intentional environment
  • Must have a desire to enhance your skills in Excel (pivot tables, Macros, VBA), Power BI, PowerPoint, Data Mining/ Data clean-up, SharePoint, Project Management, Dara Analysis, Visualization tools, MS Access, and/ or Photoshop
  • Must be organised
  • Must have excellent time management skills
  • Must have excellent presentation skills
  • Must have excellent communication skills
  • Must be able to work well in a diverse team
  • Must be self-motivated
  • Must be responsible and accountable
  • Must have an enquiring mind

The recruitment process:

  • 1. After you have successfully submitted your application and the closing date has passed, you will complete an online assessment for your application.
  • 2. Next, an initial interview screen (either by telephone call or video) will take place with Talent Acquisition.
  • 3. You will then partake in a technical interview with Business Leader.
  • 4. The programme's “interviews week” will then commence on 16 May 2022.
  • 5. The “offer week” will then take place on 24 May 2022.
