DETAILS ABOUT THE INTERNSHIP PROGRAMME:
Location: Cape Town, Western Cape
Duration: 3 years
Salary: R199 392 per annum
The City of Cape Town is offering a National Treasury Funded Infrastructure Skills Development Grant (ISDG) Graduate Trainee Internship opportunity. This programme will run for 3-years and aims to educate candidates on the importance of corporate services and the important role it plays in society.
Key performance areas of the programme:
- Ensuring that you create a tailor-made training plan in accordance with the professional council and your mentor
- Engaging in research and operational projects in line with statutory professional council (such as SACNASP)
- Engaging in all ISDG activities
- Providing a monthly training progress report
- Completing various routine activities the are set out by training plans
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS NEEDED TO APPLY:
Before applying, please ensure that you meet ALL of the following minimum entry criteria – failure to satisfy all the requirements will result in your application being disqualified:
- Must be a South African Citizen
- Must be between the ages of 18 and 35 years old
- Must have completed one of these qualifications: BSc Hons, MSc or PhD, in one of these fields: Applied Mathematics/ Stats Modelling, Aquatic Science, Atmospheric Science, Bioinformatics, Chemistry, Environmental Science with Geohydro Chemistry, Hydrobiology, Hydrology Geographic Information System (GIS), Marine Biology, Material Science, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Molecular Biology or Psychology
- Must be a graduate
- Must be unemployed
- Must be able to register as a professional within your field under the statutory council professional council
- Advantageous: valid Code B drivers license
