DETAILS ABOUT THE INTERNSHIP PROGRAMME:

Locations: Northern Cape (Calvinia, De Aar, Kimberley, Kuruman, Postmasburg, Springbok, Upington)
Duration: 1 year
Salary: R 6 666 per month
Number of positions available: 7 (1 in each of the above areas)

The Department of Employment and Labour, Northern Cape Provincial Office is offering 7 Graduate Internship opportunities to candidates seeking work exposure in their fields of studies. The Psychometrist/ Registered Counsellor Graduate Internship programme is for the Financial year 2022/2023 to 2024.
 

Key performance areas of the programme:

  • provide and implement employment counselling services
  • develop employment counselling services materials and conduct research
  • provide and implement psychometric assessment and selection services

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS NEEDED TO APPLY:

Before applying, please ensure that you meet ALL of the following minimum entry criteria – failure to satisfy all the requirements will result in your application being disqualified:

  • Must be between the age of 18 and 35 years old
  • Must be unemployed at the Public Service
  • Must have NOT participated in any Internship programmes before
  • Must have completed a Bpysch or BA Honors in Psychology
  • Advantageous: registered with HPCSA as Psychometrist or Registered Counsellor
