DETAILS ABOUT THE INTERNSHIP PROGRAMME:
Location: Midrand, Gauteng
Dis-Chem Pharmacies is offering an internship opportunity within their HO Division in the Retail industry. This opportunity is open to Learning and Development Interns whose main purpose will be to provide administrative support across all aspects of the L&D department to the L&D team and stakeholders. The candidate will achieve this by maintaining the standards of administration by ensuring that presentations and reports are accurately prepared whilst also analysing, summarising, and researching information.
Key performance areas of the programme:
- Ensuring that the training calendar is maintained both manually and electronically
- Ensuring that a database consisting of internal and external training providers is created and maintained
- Using the training calendar to book training venues
- Ensuring that relevant training documents and facilitator packs are prepared and that the facilitator receives them within 5 days before training
- Completing an item checklist for the training sessions
- Ensuring that the relevant manager has approved and checked training manuals and other materials
- Ensuring that all material required for training, as well as the training manual, is printed
- Ensuring that materials and training manuals are delivered/ couriered at least 3 days prior to the training
- Ensuring that the materials and manuals are received before training commences
- Accurately capturing attendance registers after training
- Ensuring that each venue undergoes a quality check before training sessions
- Organising catering for each training session in a timeous manner
- Ensuring that a record is kept of all training expenditures
- Using invoices to perform quality checks against attendance registers, specifications, and/or other supporting information
- Ensuring that a spreadsheet of all invoice payments are maintained and filing proof of payments
- Providing assistance to Stakeholders regarding queries related to LMS (this includes Head-Office employees, stores, directors, and managers)
- Ensuring that the relevant training data is captured into My Learning weekly/ SuccessFactors
- Ensuring that information is collected and research is conducted for relevant development
- Developing content by using the framework/scope provided
- Providing assistance with the implementation and design of learning surveys and providing solutions/ feedback to L&D officers
- Providing assistance to L&D projects, ensuring functionality and effectiveness in a department and an organisation
- Partaking in ad-hoc duties when required
- Ensuring that meetings are arranged and rooms booked correctly for departments
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS NEEDED TO APPLY:
Before applying, please ensure that you meet ALL of the following minimum entry criteria – failure to satisfy all the requirements will result in your application being disqualified:
- Must be a South African Citizen
- Must have completed Matric (NSC)
- Must have completed a qualification in Human Resources or Industrial Psychology
- Must have a Postgraduate Qualification in the above fields (advantageous, not essential)
- Must have work-integrated learning/ experience in Learning and Development environment (advantageous, not essential)
- Must have editing and development of context experience (advantageous, not essential)
- Must have extensive knowledge of the HR spectrum and the purpose of its different functions
- Must have excellent problem-solving capabilities
- Must be able to work in a high pressured environment
- Must be goal and deadline-driven
- Must be fluent in a second additional language (advantageous, not essential)
- Must have MIE, clear criminal and credit record
- Must have a valid drivers licence/ own reliable transportation
