DETAILS ABOUT THE INTERNSHIP PROGRAMME:

Location: Gauteng
Duration: 2 years
Contract Type: Permanent

Discovery is inviting graduates to apply for the DFA Graduate programme, which is designed to fulfil many of the company's distribution channels with talented and knowledgeable financial advisors.

During the programme, the candidate will deal with the complexity of the intermediary landscape whilst simultaneously providing clients with a high standard of financial planning advice and services. The candidate will be exposed to mentoring opportunities from the top Financial Advisors within the company, and be provided with product training that is rigorous, as well as regulatory and marketing support.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS NEEDED TO APPLY:

Before applying, please ensure that you meet ALL of the following minimum entry criteria – failure to satisfy all the requirements will result in your application being disqualified:

Must be a South African Citizen
Must have completed Matric (NSC) with Pure Mathematics and English as subjects
Must have completed a Degree in one of these fields: Management, Commerce, Marketing, Economics, Accounting, Actuarial or Law
Must have graduated from a recognized University
Must have a Driver's Licence
Must have your own reliable vehicle
Must have your own cellphone
Must NOT have previous or current work experience selling insurance products
Must be innovative
Must be socially orientated and have strong interpersonal skills
Must be responsible and able to take accountability
Must have a positive attitude
Must have excellent communication skills and be persuasive
Must be a leader and conscientious
Must be honest and have integrity
Must be willing to learn and be knowledgeable
