Durban Girls’ College is offering a Sports Teacher Internship opportunity to students pursuing their studies towards a B.Ed. Degree or PGCE.
Sports Interns are required to contribute and participate in the co-curricular programmes, which will be after school hours. In addition to the intern commitments, the position includes administrative duties.
Durban Girls’ College is not an ordinary school and is thus looking for an extraordinary person to join the Sports Department.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS NEEDED TO APPLY:
Before applying, please ensure that you meet ALL of the following minimum entry criteria – failure to satisfy all the requirements will result in your application being disqualified:
- Must be studying toward a B.Ed. Degree or PGCE, preferably in your 3rd or 4th year
- Must have strong verbal and written communication skills
- Must have strong leadership qualities
- Must enjoy working with people
- Must be a keen team player
- Must be provisionally registered for a SACE certificate
- Must be willing to assist the Sports department with various duties
- Must demonstrate a commitment to embracing the core values and guiding principles of Durban Girls' College
