DETAILS ABOUT THE INTERNSHIP PROGRAMME:

Location: Germiston, Gauteng
Duration: 2 years and 11 months
Pay/ Stipend: R6 000 per month

Ekurhuleni West TVET College is offering a “FOODBEV SETA Liaison Administration” Internship. The purpose of this programme is to aid the candidate in generating projects that will positively impact the surrounding community to the TVET College, Food and Beverages Manufacturing SETA.
 

Key performance areas of the programme:

  • Providing assistant with the placement of learners for work experience and internships within the Food and Beverages Manufacturing sector
  • Ensuring that industry exposure and experience is obtained by providing assistance with the placement of TVET College Lecturers
  • Providing assistance with TVET College learners' bursaries
  • Providing assistance with special projects and SETA Grants from the Food and Beverages Manufacturing SETA
  • Providing assistance with programmes (coordinating and identifying) which will aid the TVET College in being accredited with SETA (this is based on community needs, opportunities, and industry requirements.)
  • Building capacity within the TVET College by collaborating with national and local government
  • Monitoring the implementation of SETA interventions and compiling reports on their impact
  • Participating in SETA's Food and Beverage expos and exhibitions ( this includes distributing career guides)
  • Ensuring that monthly and quarterly reports are prepared and submitted to the Food and Beverages Manufacturing SETA

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS NEEDED TO APPLY:

Before applying, please ensure that you meet ALL of the following minimum entry criteria – failure to satisfy all the requirements will result in your application being disqualified:

  • Must be a South African Citizen
  • Must have completed a National Diploma/ NQF level 6 or equivalent to Management Assistant/ Business Management (minimum requirement)
  • Must have a driver's licence
  • Must be passionate about education, skills development, and training
  • Must have excellent interpersonal skills
  • Must be able to network successfully
  • Must have excellent customer service skills
  • Must be able to communicate effectively
  • Must have report writing skills
  • Must be able to attend workshops and meetings
  • Must be detail orientated
  • Must be disciplined
  • Must be goal-driven
  • Must have excellent time management skills
