DETAILS ABOUT THE INTERNSHIP PROGRAMME:
Location: Pretoria, Gauteng
Duration: 18 months
The FAIS Ombud is offering a Case Management and Adjudication Graduate Programme, to Law graduates who are passionate about public service and interested in gaining experience in the field.
The programme will run for 18 months, of which 12 months will be within the Case Management department and 6 months will be in the Adjudication department.
The intern will work within a target driven environment on complaints received by the public against financial service providers and to move towards a resolution in a procedurally fair, informal, economical and expeditious manner.
Graduates will receive the following benefits during the programme:

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS NEEDED TO APPLY:
Before applying, please ensure that you meet ALL of the following minimum entry criteria – failure to satisfy all the requirements will result in your application being disqualified:
- Must have completed an LLB degree
- Advantageous: completed PLT (Practical Legal Training)
- Must be passionate about public service
- Must have an interest in Financial Services
- Must have a strong academic background
- Must be computer literate
- Must have good drafting skills
- Must have strong interpersonal skills
- Must be self-driven and motivated
- Must be energetic
- Must be able to work in a stressful environment
- Must be willing to work extra hours
- Must be able to extract the real issue out of a complaint
- Must be results-orientated
- Must be output-driven
- Must be able to meet deadlines
