DETAILS ABOUT THE LEARNERSHIP PROGRAMME:

Location: Gauteng
Start date: 1 June 2022

Fix Scholarship is offering a learnership opportunity in collaboration with the Skills Development Corporation Private (Pty) Ltd, known as the Fix SDC Learnership Programme. This programme is aimed at female candidates looking to enhance their skills in business and become part of the organisation's Scholarship Woman's Mentorship programme.

This mentorship programme consists of life and business coaching with major skill development organisations and Sonja Shear, Executive Business Coach and Leadership Specialist.
Coach Sonja Shear ensures that the candidates focus on developing themselves and their self-awareness, both of which are key aspects of becoming a future leader. The programme will allow the candidates to hone their business ideas and prospects as well as understand their power and ability.
 

The courses offered in the Fix SDC Learnership:

  • Business Administration NQF level 3
  • Wealth Management NQF level 4
  • Project Management NQF level 4

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS NEEDED TO APPLY:

Before applying, please ensure that you meet ALL of the following minimum entry criteria – failure to satisfy all the requirements will result in your application being disqualified:

  • Must be a South African Citizen
  • Must have completed Matric/ Grade 12
  • Must be between the ages of 18 and 28 years old
  • Must be female
  • Must be a non-white demographic (i.e. African, Coloured, or Indian)
  • Must reside within Gauteng
  • Must be fluent in English
  • Must have excellent communication skills (written and oral)
  • Must achieve at least 80% in the Psychometric Assessment Test at SDC before enrolment (this will allow the candidate to qualify for the above-mentioned courses)
  • Must be unemployed

  • 3 months bank statement

  • Proof of disability (if disabled)

  • The successful candidates will be announced on 26 May 2022
  • Applications are considered on a rolling basis, as such, candidates are encouraged to apply early to increase their chances of being accepted
  • This programme is a scholarship for tuition and mentorship ONLY
  • The candidate will need to cover their transport and accommodation costs during the programme

 

ABOUT THE COMPANY PROVIDING THE LEARNERSHIP:

Fix Scholarship was created by Fikile Moeti (known as DJ Fix), a radio presenter who pursued Entrepreneurial studies at the University of Pretoria. She was inspired to create this organisation to lead the next generation of female entrepreneurs and social enterprises.
Moeti believes that social enterprises are the key to fulfilling social business purposes by generating an income whilst focusing on solving social problems. As such, Fix Scholarship has partnered with GIBS to offer scholarship opportunities for the Social Entrepreneurship Programme and affiliated programmes. Through this, Fix Scholarship aims to help aspiring young entrepreneurs achieve their dreams and goals while engaging in programmes that focus on technicality, creativity, strategy, and management skills.
