ABOUT THE COMPANY PROVIDING THE LEARNERSHIP:

In 2000, Kroonstad Technical College, Sasolburg Technical College, and Mphohadi College of Education joined forces to form Flavius Mareka TVET College. The college was named after Mr Flavius Mareka who was an important leader in cultural, educational, and political circles. Mr Mareka lived in Kroonstad and later, passed away in 1965. Flavius Mareka TVET College has 3 main campuses:
The Sasolburg campus focuses on Business Studies and Engineering courses. It comprises of two sites: The Business Studies site, and the other for Engineering Studies.

The Vision of Flavius Mareka TVET College is to ensure that their learners excel and that the schools continue to provide life-long learning and training. Their mission is to provide an educational and training programme that will aid students in their overall developments as well as ensure that all programmes offered by the college follow national standards. The mission is also to further enhance partnerships the college has and develop socially and economically, leading to more job opportunities for their students.
 

DETAILS ABOUT THE LEARNERSHIP PROGRAMME:

Location: Sasolburg, Free State

Flavius Mareka TVET College is offering an NQF-2 Learnership opportunity at their Sasolburg Campus. The programme is open to students who have passed Matric or NCV L4, and offers learnerships within the following disciplines:

  • Electrical
  • Chemical Operations
  • Welding

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS NEEDED TO APPLY:

Before applying, please ensure that you meet ALL of the following minimum entry criteria – failure to satisfy all the requirements will result in your application being disqualified:

  • Must be a South African Citizen
  • Must have completed either of the following qualifications: Matric (NSC) or an NCV L4 Certificate with Science and Mathematics as subjects
  • Must be between the ages of 18 and 35 years old

  • Certified copy of your Qualification (no older than 3 months)
