The Gauteng Department of Infrastructure Development (GDID) is offering Internship opportunities in various areas, for unemployed graduates.
Internships are available in these areas:
- Communications Internship (6 positions available)
- Construction and Building Engineering Studies Internship (20 & 20 positions available)
- Corporate Governance Internship (16 positions available)
- Financial Management Internship (20 positions available)
- Human Resource Management Internship (20 positions available)
- Information Technology Internship (8 positions available)
- Legal Services Internship (2 positions available)
- Property Management Internship (10 positions available)
- Risk Management Internship (5 positions available)
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS NEEDED TO APPLY:
Before applying, please ensure that you meet ALL of the following minimum entry criteria – failure to satisfy all the requirements will result in your application being disqualified:
- Must be a South African citizen
- Must be from Gauteng Province
- Must be unemployed
- Must have NOT taken part in any previous internship programmes
- Communications Internship: must have completed a Bachelors Degree or National Diploma in either of these fields: Communication, Journalism, Marketing, Photography, Graphic Design, Media studies or Public Relations
- Construction and Building Engineering Studies: must have completed either one of these qualifications: N6 (FET) in either of these fields: Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Building Engineering OR Bachelors Degree or National Diploma in either of these fields: Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering Engineering, Architecture, Quantity Surveying, Construction Project Management, Safety Management, Interior Design, Environmental Management
- Corporate Governance: must have completed a Degree or National Diploma in either of these fields: Public Management, Public Administration, Governance, Research, Monitoring and Evaluation, Social Science, Community Development
- Financial Management: must have completed a Bachelors Degree or National Diploma in either of these fields: Financial Management, Cost and Management Accounting, Auditing, Supply Chain Management, Logistics & Transport, Asset Management, Demand Planning and Management
- Human Resource Management: must have completed a Bachelors Degree, National Diploma or N6 in either of these fields: Human Resource Management, Human Resource Development, Training Management, Labour Relation, Labour Law, Social Science, Occupational Health Safety, Industrial Psychology, Social Worker (Reg. SACSSP), Psychology (Reg. HPCSA), Occupational Therapist (Reg. HPCSA), Organizational Development
- Information Technology: must have completed a Degree or National Diploma in either of these fields: Computer Sciences, Information Communication Technology, Networking, Informatics
- Legal Services: must have completed an LLB qualification
- Property Management: must have completed a Degree or National Diploma in either of these fields: Property Management, Development, Economics, Town Planning, Real Estate
- Risk Management: must have completed a Degree or National Diploma in either of these fields: Risk Management, Forensic Investigation
