DETAILS ABOUT THE LEARNERSHIP PROGRAMME:
Location: Johannesburg, Gauteng
Stipend: R5 000 per month
Givaudan is offering a learnership opportunity for the role of Food Technology Learner. During the programme, the candidate will be placed in the company's Creation and Application Laboratory, located in Tulisa Park Office. During the programme, the candidate will be responsible for assisting and supporting Savory, Sweet Goods, and Beverage creators in completing various tasks.
Key performance areas of the programme:
- Compound: Compounding flavour formulas by engaging in powder blending and other flavour creation processes. You will contribute to food tasting by applying flavours to Savory, Sweet Goods, and Beverages applications
- Control of raw materials: Producing prototype samples for various projects by receiving and controlling raw materials in the laboratory. You will be renewing and organising stock samples, as well as recording data on company software and supporting the smooth running of the laboratory.
- Health and Safety: Working diligently according to the company requirements to achieve the highest level of safety, protection, and hygiene of the environment.
- Learning: Attending classes determined by the learnership programme and submitting all required portfolios
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS NEEDED TO APPLY:

- Must be a South African Citizen
- Must have completed Matric with Mathematics as a subject
- Must have basic knowledge of Chemistry
- Must be computer literate
