DETAILS ABOUT THE INTERNSHIP PROGRAMME:

Location: Cape Town, Western Cape
Start dates:
21 June 2021 (Editorial Intern) and
1 July 2021 (Digital Content Producer Intern)

Highbury Media are inviting graduates to apply for 2 positions: Editorial Intern and Digital Content Producer Intern. Interns will join the editorial department and be required to perform the following duties:

Assisting the digital editor with the management and planning of digital editorial content.
Brainstorming and producing fresh, relevant and trendy digital content.
Assisting with managing the social media platforms.
Working on the social media platforms, including scheduling of content, writing captions and community management.
Staying current with digital trends, to ensure digital content is always vibrant and engaging.
Attending and documenting events and shoots on behalf of the brands.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS NEEDED TO APPLY:

Before applying, please ensure that you meet ALL of the following minimum entry criteria – failure to satisfy all the requirements will result in your application being disqualified:

Must have completed a tertiary qualification in the field of Marketing and/or Journalism
Must have a strong interest in the digital sector (including social media)
Must be proficient in WordPress CMS
Must be proficient in social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, Pinterest)
Must have excellent writing and copy-editing skills
Must have good organisational skills
Must be proactive
Must be self-disciplined
Must be responsible and dependable
Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Must be creative
Must be up to date with digital trends
Must work alongside the editor to constantly improve the digital numbers
